About the European Buddhist Union
Our Mission
The European Buddhist Union (EBU) is an umbrella organisation representing Buddhist communities, organisations and associations across Europe. Founded to foster dialogue and cooperation, the EBU brings together diverse Buddhist traditions under one roof.
We work to promote the understanding and practice of Buddhism in Europe, facilitate communication between Buddhist groups, and represent Buddhist perspectives in dialogue with European institutions.
What We Do
Dialogue & Cooperation
We facilitate dialogue between Buddhist traditions and with other religions and institutions, building bridges across communities throughout Europe.
Representation
The EBU represents Buddhist interests in dialogue with the European Parliament and other European institutions, giving voice to the Buddhist community at a continental level.
Network
With member organisations from across Europe representing all major Buddhist traditions, we are the primary network for Buddhists on the continent.
